Ho Chi Minh city is the destination choice for savvy travelers that appreciate world class attractions. When in Saigon ensure that you choose a suitably high quality hotel too. Saigon’s four star hotels provide affordable luxury and comfort. There are plenty of excellent four star hotels whether you want to base yourself in a historical, romantic, modern, classic or unique setting.

Harmony Saigon hotel is well located close to the center, a few minutes walking from Pham Ngu Lao park, restaurants, coffee bars and shops. From the road the hotel doesn't look like very luxury.Two doormen welcomed us, the lounge was quite large with a bar and sofas close to the reception. We booked in advance so we had to wait just a few minutes to check-in, the receptionist asked us to relax on a sofa while the barman served us two glasses of tea.

The general atmosphere was quiet, decoration not very refined but it seemed to augur very well.

We used the lift to acces the room 206, called "Premium Deluxe", it was supposed to be nicer and bigger than the "Deluxe room". First impression, the room was a bit small comparing to other 4-star hotels (Silverland Sakyo or Jolie, Edenstar or Parkroyal). A tiny bathroom with a bath tube, a small sofa, a large bed composed in fact of 2 beds stuck together. This is something we particularly hated, very uncomfortable for a couple. We even hesitated to ask to change for another room with a queen bed size but we were a bit tired so we stayed in this room.

Furnitures in the room were standard, a lack of refinement, we could have the feeling to be in a "Ibis hotel" (2-star hotel). On the desk, there were a nice book presenting the hotel and security, complimentary tea, coffee and 2 bottles of water.

The room was soundproof, good quality windows so we couldn't hear so much the traffic, we also enjoyed the bathtube big enough for 2 persons!

We visited the facilities, we noticed a very nice indoor swimming-pool and a spa with decent prices for a 4-star establishment. We took some beverages at the lounge, good value for money but service not attentive.

In the morning, we particularly appreciated the breakfast buffet, a large choice of breads, cakes, fresh fruits but also hot dishes (stir-fried noodles, soups, bacon, vegetables, steak, ham, sausages, potatoes, chicken curry...). The selection was perfect for western clients but also vietnamese. The staff was very attentive and caring.

Harmony Saigon hotel suffers from a number of faults (messy housekeeping leaving for example the sheets on the floor, barman who doesn't care of the clients, tiny rooms, standard furnitures...) in a meantime it also provides good services, a spa, swimming-pool, bathtube in the room, very good breakfast buffet with a professional team, the staff is caring and friendly, speaks a good english. If Harmony hotel is attentive to its customers' needs, continuously monitoring, assessing and improving its services, it could become an excellent hotel in the future.
