World-First Drone Filming of Uluru
Grainger Films were recently granted special access to the Uluru and Kata Tjuta National Park (Northern Territory, Australia) to capture a truly unique world-first aerial view of Australia’s spiritual heartland.
Uluru also known as Ayers Rock is a large sandstone rock formation in the southern part of the Northern Territory in central Australia. Kata Tjuta and Uluru are the two major features of the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park. Uluru is sacred to the Pitjantjatjara Anangu, the Aboriginal people of the area. The area around the formation is home to an abundance of springs, waterholes, rock caves, and ancient paintings. Uluru is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Drones have never been allowed in the Uluru and Kata Tjuta National Park before. This project took months of negotiations and approval was given by the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park Board and the Film and Photography Consultative Committee.

Sydney,Uluru is absolutely superb - but if we were to do it again, we would hire a car and do it ourselves. We used a Tour bus and it was a Tourist trap! It was very expensive and we didn't learn anything than if you were to go it alone. We felt ripped off, and the bad attitude of the staff left a sour taste in our mouths. 5/5 is for Uluru, for the Tour, I will put 2/5.
