Hang Son Doong Cave (Hang Sơn Đoòng) is the world's largest cave, located in Son Trach, Bo Trach, Quang Binh Province, Vietnam. Discovered in 1991 by a local resident, Hồ Khanh, it is only 19 years later, in April 2009, that British cavers, led by Howard Limbert started to explore the cave. It's huge, the ceiling is 150 meters high, 200 meters wide and 9 kilometers long. With these dimensions, Sơn Đòng overtook Deer Cave in Malaysia to take the title of the world's largest cave

Son Doong cave was classified as the largest cave in the world by  British Cave Research Association (BCRA) and selected as one of the most beautiful in the globe by the BBC news.
