Sea walking service in Hoi An
Sea walking is a new kind of sea sport which allows people to simply experience underwater without fear or complicated scuba diving skill
Launched in march 2015 in Nha Trang city, a seawalking service has captured the great attention of tourists. From May 2016, this service will be available in Hoi An too. The service allows tourists to walk on the seabed in Cham Islet, located around 15 kilometers offshore.
Trip takers will have the chance to gently touch the swimming fish without spooking or scaring them off, a rare chance to admire beautiful species and coral in close proximity, and of course pose for a few photos. People have to go in groups of 10 to walk at a depth of five to seven meters.
What seawalkers need for such a trip, which lasts some 20 minutes, is an oxygen tank and a specially-designed helmet. The helmet weighs up to 40 kilograms but gives the seawalkers the feeling of bearing the weight of merely four kilograms while walking underwater. Guides will accompany tourists on their trip, which brings them. Elderly people, kids, and those who cannot swim are all welcome to enjoy the experience.
Price range: In Hoi An, the Sea walking service will be launched at VND1.35 million (US$60) for a person for a 20-minute walk.
